EDE Estonia 2019 – 30.08. – 27.09.2019

Rahvusvaheline EDE (Ecovillage Design Education) kursus toimub Gaia Akadeemia ja MTÜ Väike Jalajälg koostööl  30 august – 27 september 2019 Mõisamaal tegutsevas Väike Jalajälg ökokogukonnas. Kursuse raames külastatakse Equilibre Hobukooli parki Koordi külas ja Lilleoru õppekeskust Rae vallas.

Eesti EDE programm – “The Basics of Holistuc Lifestyle” (“Tervikliku Eluviisi Alused”) on kuuajaline kursus, mis keskendub tervikliku maailmavaate alusel toimivate kogukondlike projektide elluviimiseks vajalike teadmiste ja praktikate õppimisele ning parema maailma loomisele.

Gaia hariduse baasis loodud programm tugineb neljale inimtegevuse aspektile:

Ökoloogiline – kuidas loodusega võimalikult harmoonilises kooskõlas eksisteerida, seda nii maju ehitades kui toitu kasvatades, seejuures võimalikult vähe jäätmeid ja reostust tekitades.
Majanduslik – kuidas toimivad ühise ja väärtuspõhise majandamise mudelid – kogukondlik majandamine, sotsiaalne ettevõtlus, jagamismajandus jt.
Sotsiaalne – kuidas üksteist paremini mõista ja efektiivsemalt kommunikeerida, sealhulgas töö konfliktidega ning koostöö loomine nii gruppide kui indiviidide vahel.
Maailmavaateline – terviklik minapilt – kes ma olen, miks ma olen, ühenduse loomine sisemise, välimise ja vaimse maailma vahel

Different topics in the curriculum:

Basics of ecological and cooperation based worldview;
Learning from nature, listening, noticing, different activities in the nature;
-Ecodesign based physical and social planning, permaculture;
Creating and managing a community;
Communication, decision making, solving conflicts, creating good atmosphere;
Personal empowerment and leadership;
Different ecological and socially supportive economical models, shared economy;

Social and community entrepreneurship, complementary monetary systems;
Ecological building;
Food, food growing, healthiness;
Restoring and healing nature;
Communal education, new schools;
Worldview in different communities, creativity and art in everyday life;
Overview of different sustainable initiations, eco-communities, transition towns etc;
Practical group works;

Small Footprint Community an eco-community founded in the end of 2012 and since 2014 it is located in Mõisamaa manor. Nowadays 13 adults and 10 children are living in the community. There are 33ha of land and 6 residential houses that are being renovated as ecologically as possible. Trainings at Small Footprint community are directed at the different aspects of sustainable lifestyle (economic, social, worldview and ecologic). The main focus is on the social aspect of sustainable life.

Gaia Academy is an education institution for holistic lifestyle studies. Gaia Academy is part of Estonian Ecovillage Association and both are working together to contribute for sustainable development education. Institution offers different Gaia Education based courses for adults and hosts different other holistic courses.

It’s a step into a new story and adventure. Together we create a ground for sustainable lifestyle and projects!
